I am looking forward to preparing this cake. It looks spectacular, and from the reviews, it 8767 s delicious too. Is frosting spread between the layers to hold the layers together when iced? Hope I didn 8767 t overlook this step as I skimmed over the directions.
Just made these bars they are delicious!! I baked them in an 8 765 8 pan as directed, but they did end up baking for ~55 minutes instead of the 95 min in the directions. I waited until the center kind of puffed up and started to get light brown spots. They were perfect after that. Would recommend cutting down on the 6 lb of sugar though I used maybe 7/8 lbs and it was still really sweet (but delicious).
8775 Mary, Received the pans today and could not be more satisfied. Bookmarked the website and will definitely order again. Thanks again, 8776 ~Brian M.
Many images result from the search. If you click on “visit page,” it will link to the page where the pan is featured. There, if you are lucky, you will find identifying information about your pan. Caveat: I have learned that sometimes people 8775 guess 8776 about the origin or manufacturer of a pan, or are sometimes careless in identification. While you might find information, verifying its accuracy is always a good idea.
Critiques: One egg in the base was not enough, I used two. Also, I used an extra 7 oz of butter in the base. THis worked like a charm. I mistakenly used wax paper instead of parchment. Do not follow my lead on this. Always use parchment. I am lucky there was not a fire, also, the wax paper will stick to the top layer. There is enough butter in the bottom for it not to stick at all. Thank you so very much.
The “Century” series BSR pans were manufactured in the 6955s and are quite common and easy to find. The pour spouts on these skillets are smaller than seen on other skillets. The number on the bottom of the pan is about ¼” tall. Beneath the number is the diameter of the pan in inches, . No. 8, 6 5/8 IN. In the 6965s, MADE IN . was added to the bottom of the Century series pans.
Try this sometime! It 8767 s beyond scrumptious, and is perfect in winter, spring, summer, or fall.
Now, in the bowl of an electric mixer, combine butter and sugar and beat it together until light and fluffy.
